all coffee no chicken

moving into our first proper house mid July, and me and the other three girls (who I’m moving in with: Eloise, Elouisa & Rachel) went to the bank today to set a joint account up, and we went for a Starbucks afterwards. it was lovely, and I had my first ever soy latte and i can honestly say i couldn’t tell the difference from a dairy one???

we all got hungry around noon, and everyone wanted to go to KFC.. it was hard, because I LOVE(D) CHICKEN, but i still managed to keep it vegan: i had a hash brown burger with no cheese/mayo, just lettuce. had fries too, but today was my ‘cheat day’, so…

so last week i ordered a dress for our end of year summer ball at university, (from Boohoo), and with my dress came a little card saying i had a free graze box code. i signed up, selected a box (i chose the chocolate box) and it’s finally here.

today at the gym was amazing! me and melissa worked up quite a sweat and i pushed myself harder than last week πŸ˜€ i also met the stepper for the first time, and we weren’t friends. my legs kill! gonna be sore tomorrow, planning to go back to the gym in the week, perhaps wednesday & friday, but for now it’s time for a healthy vegan lunch – I REALLY NEED TO STOP SPENDING ALL MY MONEY ON PRET BUT IT’S TOO DELICIOUS NOT TO!

lunch: vegan avocado and cucumber wrap, kale crisps & a melon bowl. the smoothie was gorgeous, it was a GymJunkie from JuiceFuel, but I swapped the dairy froyo for dairy-free, fat-free sorbet πŸ™‚

now it’s time for game of thrones! (no spoilers, i promise!)

back to the gym this morning! πŸ™‚

my body is aching already; think my body knows what it’s going to be put through haha.

after me [and melissa??] are going summer ball shopping – we both have our dresses, mine was a bargain at Β£18 from Boohoo, but i need shoes and accessories πŸ™‚

a good workout this morning, then shopping – i may have to treat myself and get a soy latte from PrΓͺt – and summer job hunting [i finished my first year of uni last week and need a job for a few months]

broccoli is the best :)

tonight’s tea: broccoli, pasta & sauce [both are vegan, i checked].

this is so delicious, so filling & contains no meat or dairy πŸ™‚ can’t believe how much i don’t even miss meat. when i went to get food tonight all the chicken and beef and turkey were out, and i kept remembering those horrific videos i watched and it made me even happier that i’ve decided to go vegan πŸ™‚

vegan diet: day 1

ok so i have spent the best part of day (hungover as hell) looking online at all the vegan websites i can find and i am properly going to do it!

it’s probably going to be so hard at first, and i think i may still eat fish at the beginning (so technically i think it’d be a pescatarian) but it’s going to benefit myself and so many other people πŸ™‚

today’s meals were as follows:
breakfast: nothing (i was too hungover to stomach food)
lunch: Bootea chocolate shake
tea: jacket potato (i ate half of it and didn’t eat the skin), broccoli (my favourite vegetable in the entire world) and sweetcorn.
snack: alpro blueberry yoghurt

diet change

i’ve been thinking for a while that my diet needs to change, and not just cutting down/out bad things – i got too cosy with takeout pizza for a while – but a proper, nutritious, for good change. i’m consideringΒ vegetarian and vegan and just wondered if anyone had any advice/tips/help or anything to get me started πŸ™‚

admittedly, i have never been the biggest fan of the avocado, but this looks too delicious not to try once more. the link at the bottom of the page takes you to the source, where there is a video in how to make these lovely looking edible florals. i’m definitely going to be giving it a go πŸ™‚

Wholefoods

didn’t post yesterday sorry, been really busy with end of term shows at university

haven’t eaten the best yesterday or today – yesterday started good, i had porridge for breakfast with green tea, then a salad for tea but my sweet tooth emerged and i had a few chocolate biscuits… didn’t exercise either purely because i was so tired from the day, and today i had green tea and porridge for breakfast but it wasn’t very nice today so i didn’t eat more than 10 spoonfuls, and then i had an asian styled stir fry for tea [egg noodles, peppers and quorn] with a vegetable spring roll.

tomorrow will be better, and i recently found out there’s a Whole Foods store about 20 minutes from where I’m going to be living in July, which is excellent! I’ve been obsessively reading every article on their website over the past day or so [last night I was looking and recipes at 3am!] and am planning to do a big bulk shop when I move in to last me over the summer πŸ™‚
